Growing up in the stark plains of Amarillo, Texas, Andrew Keith Curtis always recognized the beauty of pattern and movement in the seemingly barren. Through delicate line work, he brings dynamism to abstract forms on canvas, using acrylic paint through a combination of methods. A voracious consumer of world music, Andrew strives to translate sonic influence to visual texture from the likes of Russian pop, Turkish rap, and Bollywood dance. Andrew strives to elicit a strong emotional response through contrasts, balancing the soothing and the abrasive, the familiar and the alien.
