Patches of repeating pattern create a mysterious, enveloping world. I stove to give the undulating layers a summoning, entrancing, if even foreboding effect like that of the night. Hence the name "Добрый вечер" ("Good Evening" in Russian).
Original work made using 2mm acrylic paint pen on 36x48" stretched canvas in my Los Angeles home studio.
